Week Recap
Hi babes! I have had an especially wonderful week filled with friends, sunshine, good food, and bedroom upgrades! I had a quick Miami trip at the beginning of the week. The hotel was especially beautiful and it was a great escape from the rain we were having in New Jersey. I brought the sun back with me and have had some really beautiful days here afterwards. I had a late lunch/dinner with my previous roommates, Michelle and Colleen, at our favorite latin street food spot in South Orange. It was really nice to catch up with them. I’ve missed seeing them on the daily! Then yesterday I had a nice day with my current roommate Ashley. We walked into Newark for a quick appointment and then got lunch and groceries at Whole Foods. We planned for an elaborate steak dinner and while we were shopping I got a call that my Ikea bed frame had been delivered. We headed back to the house and watched a movie while we assembled the bed and the four drawers that fit underneath. We took a break somewhere in there to cook a delicious dinner with roasted veggies, steak, and a big salad, and then we finished up the bed when a friend with a power tool showed up to help. I got to sleep in my brand new bed last night and I am so happy that my room is coming together more and more. I’m headed home to California this evening for a whole week to see my family and friends there that I have missed so much. I’m sure to take a ton of photos so stay updated!

Oi gatas! Eu tive uma semana especialmente maravilhosa, cheia de amigos, sol, boa comida e melhorias nos quartos! Fiz uma rápida viagem a Miami no início da semana. O hotel era especialmente bonito e foi uma ótima fuga da chuva que estávamos tendo em Nova Jersey. Trouxe o sol de volta comigo e tive alguns dias muito bonitos aqui depois. Eu almocei / jantei tarde com minhas colegas de quarto anteriores, Michelle e Colleen, no nosso restaurante de comida latina favorito em South Orange. Foi muito bom conversar com eles. Eu senti falta de vê-los diariamente! Então ontem eu tive um bom dia com minha atual colega de quarto Ashley. Entramos em Newark para uma consulta rápida e depois almoçamos e mantimentos na Whole Foods. Planejamos um elaborado jantar de bife e, enquanto estávamos fazendo compras, recebi uma ligação dizendo que meu estrado da cama Ikea havia sido entregue. Voltamos para casa e assistimos a um filme enquanto montávamos a cama e as quatro gavetas que se encaixavam embaixo. Fizemos uma pausa em algum lugar para preparar um delicioso jantar com legumes assados, bife e uma grande salada, e depois terminamos a cama quando um amigo com uma ferramenta elétrica apareceu para ajudar. Eu dormi na minha cama nova na noite passada e estou tão feliz que meu quarto está se juntando cada vez mais. Estou voltando para casa na Califórnia hoje à noite por uma semana inteira para ver minha família e amigos lá, dos quais senti tanta falta. Tenho certeza de tirar uma tonelada de fotos para ficar atualizado!
