Flamenco Feels
Hello my loves. I am sitting outside at a coffee shop and the neighboring restaurant just started setting up for the dinner … which includes playing Louis Armstrong and creating the perfect Spring evening vibe. This week has been a strange one mentally. Simple things have felt hard and emotional. I feel a little off, and I let myself sink into it, thinking maybe that’s what I needed. But it only made me feel worse, so this week I am trying the alternate route and making a list everyday of to-dos. Shooting this amazing Badgley Mischka jumpsuit was one of the things I had to get done … the weather hasn’t cooperated so I shot indoors today and am happy with how they turned out, though I wish I could have taken some full body shots so you could see the amazing frill details down the legs.
What I really need is a dance class. I don’t really understand how gyms and salsa classes can be open, but none of the studios that have Afro-Brazilian/Haitian/Cuban classes are open. They are all still having online classes. My frustration is real. I’m kind of sick of the gym and it’s been harder to motivate myself to go. I need to dance, and that’s that. Maybe I should just start my long walk/podcast routine up again now that my toe is mostly healed.

Olá meus amores. Estou sentado do lado de fora em um café e o restaurante vizinho começou a preparar o jantar ... o que inclui tocar Louis Armstrong e criar a vibração perfeita de noite de primavera. Esta semana foi mentalmente estranha. Coisas simples parecem difíceis e emocionais. Eu me sinto um pouco desconcertada e me deixo afundar nisso, pensando que talvez seja disso que eu precisava. Mas isso só me fez sentir pior, então esta semana estou tentando o caminho alternativo e fazendo uma lista diária de tarefas. Fotografar este incrível macacão Badgley Mischka foi uma das coisas que eu tive que fazer ... o tempo não ajudou, então eu fiz isso dentro de casa hoje e estou feliz com o resultado final, embora eu gostaria de ter tirado algumas fotos de corpo inteiro para você podia ver os detalhes incríveis de babados descendo pelas pernas.
O que eu realmente preciso é de uma aula de dança. Eu realmente não entendo como academias e aulas de salsa podem ser abertas, mas nenhum dos estúdios que têm aulas de afro-brasileiros / haitianos / cubanos estão abertos. Todos eles ainda estão tendo aulas online. Minha frustração é real. Estou meio cansado da academia e tem sido mais difícil me motivar para ir. Eu preciso dançar e pronto. Talvez eu deva apenas começar minha longa caminhada / rotina de podcast novamente, agora que meu dedo do pé está quase curado.
