Jardin Botánico de Vallarta
A little luscious, right?! We had a slow start to the day yesterday and started out with a late breakfast, some photos, dips in the pool and then did our research on where to get covid tested before our flights home. We called quite a few places and found one seven minutes away, so we all piled in an uber and headed that way. It was a place called BiosLab and it was a one woman show. She was the receptionist and doctor and had our results to us in less than an hour. And to make it even better, the test was half the price that we had seen online. They all came back negative - thank god because I have to get back for a time-sensitive work training the day after I return. Once we were squared away with that we piled in yet another uber and took the lush, winding road along the coast towards the botanical garden. We all arrived hungry so we made the beautiful three story restaurant our first stop. There was a thirteen person mariachi band, serenading, and tropical birds feeding alongside us. It was all quite wonderful. After we were well-fed we wandered around the grounds. I’m embarrassed to admit that I slipped in the creek, grabbed what I thought was a tree root to catch myself, but it was actually a free standing stick and so it did me no good. I hit the back of my head slightly and felt a little woozy on the windy bus trip back into the city. Today is our last day and it will be a restful one. I spent the morning editing these photos and my mom is using up the rest of the groceries to concoct a series of delicious smelling dishes. Raoul and Abbie stayed up late so they are still sleeping. Our plan is to go into town in the evening when it cools off some for some souvenirs we have been eyeing. So far my only purchase is an olive green suede card holder - something I’ve been needing for a while. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the photos from yesterday! And that you had a wonderful weekend.

Um pouco gostoso, certo ?! Começamos o dia de forma lenta ontem e começamos com um café da manhã tardio, algumas fotos, mergulhos na piscina e depois fizemos nossa pesquisa sobre onde fazer o teste de cobiça antes de voltar para casa. Ligamos para alguns lugares e encontramos um a sete minutos de distância, então todos nós entramos em um uber e rumamos naquela direção. Era um lugar chamado BiosLab e era um show de uma mulher. Ela era a recepcionista e médica e nos entregou os resultados em menos de uma hora. E para torná-lo ainda melhor, o teste custou metade do preço que tínhamos visto online. Todos eles deram negativo - graças a Deus porque eu tenho que voltar para um treinamento de trabalho urgente no dia seguinte ao meu retorno. Assim que resolvemos isso, colocamos mais um uber e pegamos a estrada exuberante e sinuosa ao longo da costa em direção ao jardim botânico. Todos nós chegamos com fome, então fizemos o lindo restaurante de três andares nossa primeira parada. Havia uma banda de mariachi de treze pessoas, fazendo uma serenata e pássaros tropicais se alimentando ao nosso lado. Foi tudo maravilhoso. Depois de estarmos bem alimentados, vagamos pelo terreno. Estou com vergonha de admitir que escorreguei no riacho, agarrei o que pensei ser uma raiz de árvore para me segurar, mas na verdade era um pedaço de pau livre e por isso não me adiantou. Eu bati levemente na nuca e me senti um pouco tonta na viagem de ônibus ventosa de volta para a cidade. Hoje é nosso último dia e será um dia de descanso. Passei a manhã editando essas fotos e minha mãe está usando o resto das compras para preparar uma série de pratos cheirosos deliciosos. Raoul e Abbie ficaram acordados até tarde, então eles ainda estão dormindo. Nosso plano é ir à cidade à noite, quando esfriar um pouco, para comprar alguns souvenirs que estivemos de olho. Até agora, minha única compra é um porta-cartões de camurça verde oliva - algo que eu preciso há um tempo. De qualquer forma, espero que gostem das fotos de ontem!
